SRI CEO David Parekh Named to 2024 ‘Power 100’ List

DAVID PAREKH, SRI’S CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The list highlights individuals who are “key to the future of the region, the Bay Area and … the world.”

David Parekh, SRI’s Chief Executive Officer, has been named by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of the Power 100, an annual list highlighting the top 100 business leaders in the Bay Area.

The honorees come from a wide variety of industries and sectors, but what connects them, the newspaper said in the introduction to its second annual list, is that “they’re all key to the future of the region, the Bay Area and in cases, the world.”

Named chief executive officer of SRI in 2021, Parekh leads an approximately 1,600-person organization dedicated to creating and delivering groundbreaking products and services across a number of disciplines and research areas, including trusted AI, quantum, precision medicine, climate and sustainability, space, and the future of education.

Based in the heart of Silicon Valley since 1946, SRI has offices and labs around the world, including in Princeton, Ann Arbor, Boulder, Washington, D.C., and Tokyo. Last year, under Parekh’s leadership, SRI acquired the iconic Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).

“I am very pleased to be named to the Power 100 list,” Parekh said, “because its focus is so highly consistent with our mission of building a safer, healthier, and more sustainable future for our community, and for the world.”
