Amir, E., Anderson, M. L., & Chaudhri, V. K. (2007). Report on DARPA workshop on self aware computer systems. SRI International Menlo Park United States.

Abstract

Self-Aware Computer Systems is an area of basic research, and we are only in the initial stages of our understanding of what it means: what it means to be self-aware, what a self-aware system can do that other systems cannot do, and what are some of the immediate practical applications and challenge problems. This report captures some of the salient points discussed during the DARPA workshop on Self-Aware Computer Systems held on April 27-28, 2004 in Washington D.C.
