Abstract

In the late 80s PARC invented Ubiquitous Computing which is now a prominent subfield of research in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering with two international conferences and numerous research journals. In the past it was a dream, but today the critical mass of pervasive technologies exists and we are seeing Ubicomp have substantial commercial impact. We are in the midst of a sea change that not everyone sees yet. Get in early.
