Michael Patti

Program Manager, Microcircuit Emulation Center, Integrated Systems and Solutions

Michael Patti is a program manager in the Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International. In this role, he manages projects that focus on the design, fabrication, and testing of integrated circuits for the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program.

Patti has managed programs in the development of application specification integrated circuits (ASIC) for MPEG-2 video encoders and decoders. These ASICs have been used in high-definition television (HDTV) receivers and set-top boxes. Other projects include ASIC designs of digital signal processors, microcontrollers, and video gaming systems. His professional experience includes system architecture, circuit design and layout, and design for manufacturing and test.

Prior to joining SRI, Patti worked as a design engineer and technical manager for General Instrument and Intel, and as a program manager at Panasonic. He has worked on several programs in the development of hardware and software for consumer electronic applications.

Patti has B.E. and M.E. degrees in electrical engineering from Manhattan College, and has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. He has been the recipient of several Sarnoff Outstanding Technical Achievement awards and the co-inventor on two patents.
