Abstract

In 2022–23, SRI Education conducted an evaluation of a pilot implementation of the Maine Early Childhood Consultation Partnership® (ECCP®) for Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child and Family Services. Created and developed by Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc., ECCP® is an evidence-based, manualized model of infant and early childhood mental health consultation (IECMHC) that builds capacity of the early care and education workforce to address young children’s social-emotional and behavioral needs through intensive, time-limited consultation with a trained mental health consultant. SRI Education collected and analyzed data from state leaders, consultants, trainers, supervisors, teachers and parents/guardians in five counties to assess the pilot implementation and provide recommendations for statewide scale up and sustainability of the model.
