“The PARC Forum events offer that rare magic where I can get a front row seat to a place where visionary thinking meets world impact.” — PARC Forum attendee

Join SRI as we welcome Kumar Garg, president of Renaissance Philanthropy, Fernando Fabre, CEO of Kauffman Fellows, Erwin Gianchandani, assistant director for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships at the NSF, and Leigh Ann DeLyser, director of SRI’s Center of Education Research and Innovation, for a discussion about new models for collaboration among innovators, investors, and educators. As the education sector faces increasing pressure to adopt AI and digital tools, our panel will examine how we can move quickly and responsibly, and explore what infrastructure is needed to ensure that new technologies benefit students, families, and schools.

The panel will discuss critical questions, including:

  • How do we balance rapid innovation with effective, rigorous, evidence-based learning from various pilots and projects?
  • As the U.S. federal government’s role in early-stage innovation shifts, who will lead and ensure accountability related to AI effectiveness?
  • What is the NSF’s role in ensuring technological leadership and accountability for AI effectiveness, safety, and societal impact?
  • What type of ecosystem and infrastructure is needed to ensure that AI supports student well-being and prepares them for success?
