SRI aims to build a cutting-edge global hub to advance digital health transformation.
AI is already beginning to revolutionize healthcare. However, unlocking its full potential requires scientific innovation and global collaboration.
A new alliance is aiming to make the United Arab Emirates a key player in this era of data-driven healthcare. According to a recent article published in Bloomberg, a strategic partnership between M42’s Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS), SRI, and VantageBridge will “harnesses cutting-edge technology, world-class research and strategic investments to turn medical breakthroughs into actionable, life-changing results for millions.”
Leveraging data to achieve improved health outcomes is complex at best. It will require research in areas like genome sequencing, precision medicine, and preventative therapies, but also advanced data infrastructure, new funding models, and international collaboration.
Drawing on nearly eight decades of pioneering research in AI and transformative health technologies, SRI will play a key role in enabling this innovation hub to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
“Building a future-ready healthcare ecosystem in the region requires collective effort and strategic partnerships,” Kareem Shahin, CEO of M42’s Digital Health Solutions platform, told Bloomberg. “Abu Dhabi’s vision to become a global hub for AI-driven healthcare will be central to addressing tomorrow’s healthcare challenges today and accelerating the impact on improving patient outcomes worldwide.”
