EDUCATION RESEARCH associate, SRI Education
Mallory Scott, MA, is a research associate in the Center for Learning and Development, where she supports research and technical assistance projects focused on early childhood systems, special education, early literacy, and inclusive learning environments. Since joining SRI in 2022, she has contributed to more than a dozen national and state-level initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for children and families. Her work spans a wide range of areas, including early intervention, educator workforce development, educational media, and data systems.
Scott’s recent work includes serving as a project coordinator for the Center for IDEA Early Childhood Data Systems (DaSy) and as a project specialist for the INTECA (Innovative Technology for Early Childhood Assessment) project. Scott has also supported other projects such as the Oklahoma Early Intervention Study, Assisting Parents to Review Online Videos for Education (APPROVE), Inclusion in California Early Learning and Care, and WestEd’s Investing in Innovation (i3) Early Math Project.
Scott also brings graduate-level experience in autism research. During her graduate studies, she supported IRB development, conducted child interviews, and contributed to interventions designed to strengthen autistic students’ relationships with their teachers through the Institute of Education Sciences (IES)-funded Smooth Sailing project at the University of California, Riverside. She also volunteered at the SEARCH Center, where she assisted in writing clinical assessment reports for ASD diagnosis. Her dual perspective as a trained researcher and someone with lived experience navigating neurodivergence as an autistic adult informs her commitment to accessible systems change.
Scott received her MA in education, special education and autism concentration, from the University of California, Riverside.
