BioCyc database collection

Genetic sequence

Developed by SRI’s AI Center and first launched in 1997, BioCyc is a comprehensive resource for sharing fundamental information about biochemical pathways and genomes. It is used by researchers at universities and institutions around the world.

BioCyc consists of an ever-growing collection of more than 20,000 Pathway/Genome Databases (PGDBs) for model eukaryotes and for thousands of microbes, along with SRI-developed software tools to explore the information. The platform leverages curated data from more than 146,000 scientific publications.
