Senior Program Director, Human Sleep Research, Center for Health Sciences
Fiona Baker, Ph.D., has main research interests in body temperature, sleep interactions, sleep in women and circadian rhythms.
Baker is a principal investigator in the National Consortium on Alcohol and Neurodevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA).
She received her Ph.D. in physiology from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2001, after which she completed a three-year post-doctoral study investigating the neurobiology of sleep with Dr. Dennis McGinty in the Department of Psychology, University of California, Los Angeles.
Baker is also an Honorary Research Associate of the Brain Function Research Unit, School of Physiology, University of the Witwatersrand.
