Kilian Pohl

Kilian M. Pohl, Ph.D., focuses on research that improves patient care via medical image analysis.

Pohl’s work has received funding by the National Institutes of Health and private foundations. He is also a principal investigator in the National Consortium on Alcohol and Neurodevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA). He has been awarded honors such as the Medical Image Analysis – MICCAI 2006 Best Paper Prize.

Pohl received his doctorate in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was faculty at the Harvard Medical School, a research staff member at IBM Almaden, and an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology and the Bioengineering Graduate Group, University of Pennsylvania.

In October 2013, Pohl began a secondary appointment as a consulting assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the School of Medicine, Stanford University.
