Todd Stavish: Bringing technology that matters into the world

The SRI ventures team connects entrepreneurs with deep technology, expert guidance, and intellectual property.

SRI has spun out hundreds of companies in its nearly 80-year history, including some famous ones like Siri, Intuitive Surgical, and LeoLabs. Leading the charge to support promising young companies is Todd Stavish, Vice President of SRI’s ventures group. He works with dozens of entrepreneurs every year across a range of industries to match them with SRI scientists and intellectual property — with the goal of bringing big ideas to market.

“One of the things I love about my job is working with world-class SRI researchers; they literally can see the future and help develop it.” — Todd Stavish

In this video, Stavish describes SRI’s approach to developing and launching deep tech ventures in areas such as AI, space, and the biosciences.
