Laura Atleski (Magda)

Director, Clinical Trials Unit

Laura Atleski (Magda), MD, MSc, specializes in clinical research development, including novel ways to bridge the gaps between medicine, clinical research, and public health. Her focus is to utilize clinical research to create equitable access to healthcare and clinical trials in rural and underserved communities.

Atleski joined SRI in 2023 as the Director of the Clinical Trials Unit in Plymouth, Michigan to lead programs in clinical and public health development. She has almost 10 years of experience leading federally and commercially funded clinical research studies in academic medical centers and non-profit clinical organizations. Atleski received her MD from the Medical University of Lublin and MSc in Public Health Sciences from the University of Chicago. She is a past winner of the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) and has received national training fellowship awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA). Her postdoctoral fellowships were focused on Clinical Research/Biomedical Informatics and on the Demography and Economics of Aging at the University of Chicago
