The new SRI-led program is mentoring Ukrainian entrepreneurs focused on strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
More than 20 Ukrainian teams have joined the inaugural cohort of SRI’s Deep Tech Security Accelerator. These teams are now applying their entrepreneurial skills to bring new innovations to Ukraine’s defense technology sector.
As the Odessa Journal reported, the effort benefits from official support from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Consulate General in San Francisco, funding from US-based donors, and input from leading U.S. universities and the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Innovation Unit (DIU).
Following an intensive two-week program, participants will receive an additional six months of mentoring support and assistance with market entry and fundraising strategy from leading American experts.
