SRI researchers invite schools to join a federally funded pilot study of MidSchoolMath’s Core Curriculum.

With funding from the National Science Foundation, SRI Education is leading a study to examine the efficacy of MidSchoolMath’s Core Curriculum in grades 7 and 8 during the 2026/27 school year. All U.S. schools are invited to participate in the study, designed to test how use of the Core Curriculum impacts student performance in mathematics and investigate factors that lead to successful implementation of the curriculum.

There is no cost to participate in the study, and all curriculum, training, and support are fully provided. Participation is designed to fit within teachers’ existing instructional schedules.

The study is designed to enable participating schools to:

  • Provide engaging and motivating evidence-based math instruction
  • Make data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes
  • Provide valuable insights for shaping middle school math learning, which will benefit schools nationwide

To indicate your interest in participating in this study, please complete a study interest form by June 1, 2026. A member of the research team will contact you about next steps.
