Genetic Influences on Individual Differences in Nicotine Glucuronidation
Nicotine and its primary oxidative metabolites are metabolized in part by glucuronidation. Genetic variation in UGT isoenzymes that catalyze glucuronidation activity suggests that variation in glucuronidation rate is in part genetically determined.

MEMS Electric-Field Probes for Laboratory Plasmas
This paper presents microfabricated sensors for directly measuring fine-scale plasma parameters in typical laboratory plasmas.

Quantitative Comparison of Metrics for Change Detection in Video Patrolling Applications
This paper provides a comprehensive quantitative comparison of metrics for detecting visual anomalies between two videos that are recorded along same path but at different times by a camera on a patrolling platform.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Living Brain
Longitudinal MRI studies of animal models of alcoholism, however, can address questions about the development and course of alcohol dependence and the scope and limits of in vivo degeneration and recovery of brain structure and concomitant function that may not be readily addressed in clinical studies.

Observations of Ionospheric Heating During the Passage of Solar Coronal Hole Fast Streams
Using ionospheric temperature measurements made continuously by the PFISR and ESR during the International Polar Year, we provide evidence for directly driven ionospheric heating associated with the solar wind corotating interaction region.

Parallel Interhemispheric Processing in Hemineglect: Relation to Visual Field Defects
To study whether unconscious parallel processing depends on visual functional integrity, we compared the performance of neglect patients with visual field defects (VFDs) (n = 11) and hemianopic patients with partial or complete blindness of one visual hemifield (n = 11) on redundant targets effects (RTE).

Impact of Alcoholism on Sleep Architecture and EEG Power Spectra in Men and Women
We aimed to determine the impact of alcoholism on sleep architecture and sleep EEG power spectra in men and women with uncomplicated alcoholism.

Signatures of Low Latitude-High Latitude Coupling in the Tropical MLT Region During Sudden Stratospheric Warming
The present paper analyses the variations of daytime mesopause temperature over an equatorial station during polar Stratospheric Sudden Warming (SSW) events, indicating a possible dynamical coupling between the two regions, through the intensification of planetary wave activity.

The 557.7 Nm Oxygen Green Line in the Venus Nightglow
In this presentation we consider the argument for a mesospheric vs an ionospheric source.

Seasonal Oscillations of Middle Atmosphere Temperature Observed By Rayleigh Lidars and Their Comparisons with Timed/Saber Observations
The long-term temperature data sets obtained by Rayleigh lidars at six different locations from low to high latitudes within the NDACC were used to derive the annual oscillations and semiannual oscillations of middle atmosphere temperature.

Biodistribution, Toxicity and Radiation Dosimetry Studies of the Serotonin Transporter Radioligand 4-[18F]-ADAM in Rats and Monkeys
4-[18F]-ADAM is a potent serotonin transport imaging agent. We studied its toxicity in rats and radiation dosimetry in monkeys before human studies are undertaken.

Analysis and Interpretation of Mars Dayglow Altitude Profiles
The Mariner 4, Mariner 6 and 7, Mariner 9, and Viking 1 and 2 missions provided the first quantitative information about the structure, energetics, and dynamics of the Mars atmosphere.
