Sequential Monte Carlo in Reachability Heuristics for Probabilistic Planning
In this work, we apply heuristic search to conformant probabilistic planning by adapting planning graph heuristics developed for non-deterministic planning. We evaluate a straight-forward application of these planning graph techniques, which amounts to exactly computing a distribution over many relaxed planning graphs

High voltage active matrix backplane for driving array of MEMS devices based on offset-gate poly-Si high voltage TFT
Here we will present a novel active matrix backplane that is capable of driving arrays of high voltage devices (up to 100V) at extremely fast frame rates (up to 1000 frames/s).

CoScribe: using paper for collaborative annotations in lectures
We developed CoScribe, a system which supports students in making collaborative handwritten annotations on printed lecture slides.

Collective solitude and social networks in world of warcraft
We show that these social networks are often sparse and that most players spend time in the game experiencing a form of collective solitude: they play surrounded by, but not necessarily with, other players.

Beyond the university: teaching ethnographic methods in the corporation
Abstract This brief article discusses some of our experiences in teaching ethnographic methods to our business partners. It focuses especially on the fact that it is easy to teach and learn ethnographic techniques but difficult to teach and learn analysis. Some suggestions for overcoming this difficulty are provided.

Control of large-scale reconfigurable systems
This presentation covers some of these challenges, solutions, and lessons learned during the design and implementation of a prototype highly modular, reconfigurable printing system at PARC.

Class identification of pathogens based on native fluorescence spectroscopy on-a-chip
Our compact, low-cost pathogen detection platform combines a fluidic channel with a chip-size, distributed spectrometer that is optimized for recording fluorescence spectra from moving analytes or particles as they traverse the channel.

A content-driven access control system
We present a system that can work in conjunction with natural language processing algorithms or user-generated tags, to protect identifying attributes in text.

Fast Parallel Spiral Chemical Shift Imaging at 3T Using Iterative Sense Reconstruction
Spiral chemical shift imaging (CSI) is a fast CSI technique that speeds up the data acquisition in comparison to conventional phase-encoded CSI by sampling the data while oscillating gradients are applied in two spatial dimensions.

Effect of Chitosans and Other Excipientson the Permeation of Ketotifen, FITC-Dextran, and Rhodamine 123 Through Caco-2 Cells
Ketotifen, FITC-labeled dextran, and Rhodamine 123 permeation was evaluated across Caco-2 cells grown on permeable inserts in the presence of chitosan, N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan (NOCC), Carbopol 934P, Polysorbate 80, and Disodium edetate.
