SRILM at 16: Update and Outlook
We review developments in the SRI Language Modeling Toolkit (SRILM) since 2002, when a previous paper on SRILM was published.

Usability of display-equipped RFID tags for security purposes
In this paper, we focus exclusively on techniques with user involvement for secure user-to-tag authentication, transaction verification, reader expiration and revocation checking, as well as pairing of RFID tags with other personal devices.

Case-based reasoning research and development
Abstract Publisher’s summary: This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Case-Based Reasoning, held in London, UK, in September 2011. The 32 contributions presented together with 3 invited talks were reviewd and selected from 67 submissions. The presentations and posters covered a wide range of CBR topics of interest both to…

Novel metallization approaches with very low specific contact resistance for crystalline silicon solar cells
In this paper some new approaches for the front side metallization of crystalline silicon solar cells are presented, targeting on dramatically reducing the specific contact resistance between the metal gridline and the n+ emitter layer.

Human motion prediction and tracking for indoor mobile relay networks
In this work we present a novel approach to predicting human motion in indoor environments.
-
Ubiquitous meeting facilitator with playful real-time user interface
We present a prototype that is unique because it captures both individual and group behaviors and provides real time playful feedback.

Immunoregulatory and Effector Activities in Human Cutaneous and Mucosal Leishmaniasis: Understanding Mechanisms of Pathology
By studying the immune response from CL and ML patients in both the peripheral blood and in situ, we have learned much concerning the dynamics of the host–pathogen interaction that leads to the development of CL and ML.

The Biason the Joule Heating Estimate: Small-Scale Variability Versus Resolved-Scale Model Uncertainty and the Correlation of Electric Field and Conductance
In this work we separately analyze the small-scale variability and the resolved-scale model uncertainty using the Sondrestrom radar database, and we find that each gives a significant contribution to the bias on Joule heating.

A Survey of Metabolic Databases Emphasizing the Metacyc Family
The main families are the MetaCyc, KEGG, Reactome, Model SEED, and BiGG families. We survey these database families, as well as important individual metabolic databases, including multiple human metabolic databases.

Analytical Methods for the Bioavailability Evaluation of Hydroxypryridinonate Actinide Decorporation Agents in Pre-clinical Pharmacokinetic Studies
The described bioanalytical detection methods were successfully applied to the selection of solid-state forms of 5-LIO and 3,4,3-LI for future preclinical development activities, and will be adapted for use with plasma from other species.

The Electron Density Dependence of Polar Mesospheric Summer Echoes
We present several observations made using the Poker Flat Incoherent Scatter Radar which are difficult to explain based on those expressions, including observations at night with no detectable incoherent scatter below 90 km and during aurora where the reflectivity shows no response to abrupt changes in ionization.
