Chris Lantman, Ph.D., is responsible for the identification, prioritization and development of key global partners to bring SRI innovations to the marketplace. His expertise includes business plan development, technology assessment, and creating partnerships for commercialization, licensing and new ventures.
Prior to joining SRI, Lantman was a business unit manager for optical products in energy and security markets at JDS Uniphase. He has worked internationally at Bayer AG and the City of Paris Industrial Physics and Chemistry Higher Educational Institution.
Lantmanās professional experience includes the development and transfer of technologies for thin-film deposition, nanomaterials, specialty dyes and pigments, and polymeric materials for a variety of industries, consortia, and defense applications. He is a recipient of the international Bourse Chateaubriand prize in science and author of seven patents and more than 50 technical publications.
Lantman received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Ph.D. and M.S. in polymer science and engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
