The showcase comes weeks after NIST chose SRI to establish the Quantum Manufacturing Engineering Center (QMEC) to help scale U.S. production of quantum components.

The SRI-managed Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) convened bipartisan lawmakers, senior Administration officials, and leading quantum companies on Capitol Hill this week for the 2026 Quantum Technology Showcase. The event, held on the heels of new White House executive orders on quantum innovation and the White House Summit on American Quantum Innovation, gave members of Congress a firsthand look at cutting-edge quantum computing, communications, and sensing technologies.
