CTI expands clinical research network through acquisition of SRI Clinical Trial Unit; organizations launch strategic research partnership

Government and commercial clients will benefit from expanded capabilities and operations.

RCTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services has acquired SRI’s Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) in Plymouth, Michigan, which will now operate as CTI Clinical Research Center Michigan, alongside a new strategic research partnership between the two organizations.

The SRI CTU site, established in 2014 and known for its work in vaccines, neurology, and pain studies, including a notable 2023 Phase 1 trial for a novel radioactive contamination treatment, will join CTI’s growing network, building on the success of its Cincinnati-based research center.

CTI and SRI plan to collaborate on research and clinical development, combining SRI’s scientific and government research background with CTI’s global clinical trial execution capabilities, with SRI gaining priority access to CTI’s site network to support both commercial and federally funded research programs.
