Comparison of the Neutral Wind Seasonal Variation from Midlatitude Conjugate Observations
The seasonal variation of F region neutral wind from the midlatitude conjugate Fabry-Perot interferometer observations has been studied.

Sudemycin E Influences Alternative Splicing and Changes Chromatin Modifications
To determine the effect on gene expression, we performed genome-wide array analysis. Sudemycin E first causes a rapid change in alternative pre-messenger RNA splicing, which is later followed by changes in overall gene expression and arrest in the G2 phase of the cell cycle.

Computational thinking practices: Analyzing and modeling a critical domain in computer science education
This paper discusses the design process used to develop an assessment of computational thinking to support the adoption of a high school computer science curriculum.

No Association between Germline Variation in Catechol-O-Methyltransferase and Colorectal Cancer Survival in Postmenopausal Women
Because catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT; 22q11.21) activity is an important component of estrogen-mediated carcinogenesis, we hypothesized that germline variation in COMT may be associated with CRC survival.

Designing Bifunctional NOP Receptor-Mu-Opioid Receptor Ligands from NOP-Receptor Selective Scaffolds. Part II
We describe a continuing structure–activity relationship (SAR) study of the NOP-selective piperidin-4-yl-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one scaffold, to obtain bifunctional activity at MOP, and a suitable ratio of NOP/MOP agonist activity that produces a non-addicting analgesic profile.

Leading the Conversation on the Future of Robotics
Lately it seems that robotics is at the forefront of many conversations—about technology, jobs, startups, education, and more. At SRI, we’re gearing up for National Robotics Week in April and partnering with Xconomy to bring together some of the industry’s foremost thought leaders on April 10 at Robo Madness 2014. And, we’ll be sharing our passion for robotics…

New Electrode Architecture for High Performance Lithium Ion Batteries
In this work, a new approach to maximize power will be theoretically and experimentally presented using an ordered, dual-scale porosity distribution in the dense, thick electrodes targeting high energy density.
