Augmented Reality Binoculars
In this paper we present an augmented reality binocular system to allow long range high precision augmentation of live telescopic imagery with aerial and terrain based synthetic objects, vehicles, people and effects.

On Seeding Equatorial Spread F: Parallel or Transverse Transport?
In this paper, a clarification of the physics is presented, which show that TT is, in fact, the dominant seeding process.

The Acute Effects of Alcohol on Sleep Architecture in Late Adolescence
This study examined the effect of alcohol on sleep architecture in women and men aged 18–21 years and whether previously reported sleep architecture effects may have been as an artificial result of changes to sleep cycle length.

Multiple CNS Nicotinic Receptors Mediate L-Dopa-Induced Dyskinesias: Studies with Parkinsonian Nicotinic Receptor Knockout Mice
Accumulating evidence supports the idea that drugs acting at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) may be beneficial for Parkinson’s disease.

Genetic and Environmental Determinants of Human NK Cell Diversity Revealed by Mass Cytometry
To provide an unprecedented understanding of NK cell repertoire diversity, we used mass cytometry to simultaneously analyze 37 parameters, including 28 NK cell receptors, on peripheral blood NK cells from 5 sets of monozygotic twins and 12 unrelated donors of defined human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) genotype.

Racial/Ethnic Differences in Hospital Use and Cost among a Statewide Population of Children with Down Syndrome
This study generated population-based estimates of hospital use and cost to 3 years of age by race/ethnicity among children with DS in Massachusetts using birth certificates linked to birth defects registry and hospital discharge data from 1999 to 2004.

Respiratory and Auditory Cortical Processing in Children with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome
We hypothesized that, during sleep, children with OSAS have abnormal RREP, normal cortical processing of nonrespiratory stimuli, and persistence of abnormal RREP after treatment.

Measuring Mitochondrial Metabolism in Rat Brain in Vivo Using Mr Spectroscopy of Hyperpolarized [2-C-13]Pyruvate
In this study, single-time-point chemical shift imaging data were acquired from rat brain in vivo. [5-13C]Glutamate, [1-13C]acetylcarnitine and [1-13C]citrate were detected in addition to resonances from [2-13C]Pyr and [2-13C]Lac.

Exploring Sources of Variation in Studies of Knowledge Structure Coherence: Comparing Force Meanings and Force Meaning Consistency Across Two Turkish Cities
The current study compares student interviews across two cities in Turkey to provide insight into this question. The results demonstrate no significant differences in students’ consistency or meanings of force between cities.

Modular Compilation of Guarded Atomic Actions
In this paper we propose a new modular compilation scheme which supports compilation of modules with interface methods as parameters and preserves Bluespec’s one-rule-at-a-time semantic model.

Sustainable Use of Dynamic Representational Environments: Toward a District-Wide Adoption of SimCalc-Based Materials
In this chapter, we will discuss pilot research in our multiyear effort aimed at aiding a large, urban school district in the state of Florida to adopt SimCalc MathWorlds® as a sustainable and integral part of middle school mathematics education. Building upon analyses that identify important factors in sustainable use of SimCalc-based materials, we have built…
