For more than 50 years, SRI Education has been a leader in helping strategic partners find out what works, for whom, how, and why. We collaborate with federal, state, foundation, nonprofit, and commercial partners to improve teaching, education policies, and student learning.
Our goal: to reduce barriers and optimize outcomes for students of all ages; abilities; and racial, cultural, linguistic, and geographic backgrounds.

Early education that leads to school readiness: proven lessons for creating a strong start with high-quality preschool environments
Preschool is the building block to lasting education success, but high-need communities often lack high-quality preschool experiences that promote school readiness.

Building on open educational resources: helping students complete a degree without purchasing a single textbook
Investigating whether replacing traditional materials with freely available and openly licensed resources can increase college affordability and academic success.

Creating a coherent and high-quality pathway of literacy instruction to help more students become proficient readers
SRI provided formative feedback on progress and implementation that promoted continuous improvement of practices, programs and policies used by the initiative’s leadership and the participating schools.

Evaluation of the CAPP Demonstration Partnerships
SRI’s evaluation addressed implementation and institutional outcomes of work by 11 high schools and a partnering local college as they worked to establish seamless transitions for students and strengthen instructional quality as required by the Common Core.

Next Generation Science Assessment
A multi-institutional collaborative developed classroom-ready assessment tasks for teachers to gain insights into their students’ proficiency with the Next Generation Science Standards.
