A Gene Expression Signature from Peripheral Whole Blood for Stage I Lung Adenocarcinoma
We measured gene expression from lung tissue and peripheral whole blood from adenocarcinoma cases and controls to identify dysregulated lung cancer genes that could be tested in blood to improve identification of at-risk patients in the future.

Is the organizational computer a digital nervous system?
This talk is about the questions we are asking ourselves as we design and field these systems, where their power comes from, how they are being created by multidisciplinary technology teams and ethnographers, how we are managing, prioritizing and accelerating the necessary innovations, and what we are learning from them.

A graph lattice approach to maintaining dense collections of subgraphs as image features
This paper shows how large families of complex features can be built out of simpler ones through construction of a graph lattice – a hierarchy of related subgraphs linked in a lattice.

English access to structured data
In this paper we present work in using a domain model to guide text interpretation, in the context of a project that aims to interpret English questions as queries to be answered from structured databases.

No more circling around the block: evolving a rapid ethnography and podcasting method to guide innovation in parking systems
In this paper, we describe the REACT method and show how we used it to discover several key findings regarding parking practices that changed our teams thinking about the intended customer, highlighted some critical design issues, and revealed unanticipated opportunities for new technology solutions.
