Technical Assistance for Education
Building capacity to address critical needs and improve outcomes
At SRI Education, we view technical assistance as a collaborative, coordinated effort to facilitate change in systems, build capacity, improve practices, and reach agreed-upon outcomes.
Our goal is to design and deliver transformative technical assistance (TA) that supports partners to reduce barriers and optimize outcomes for all children, youth, and families. We bring a human-centered and results-oriented approach when planning, implementing, and evaluating TA, to stay focused and identify ways to strengthen efforts.

How we deliver results
We build trusting relationships with federal, state, and local partners in education and health and human services to co-create strategies that achieve intended outcomes. We’re also attuned to the needs of the workforce — those who are working in organizations to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families.
We apply evidence-based practices; our expertise in systems building and knowledge about critical issues that impact children, youth, and families; and our own lived experiences to deliver differentiated, flexible, and sustainable TA.

“This work has been monumental in improving outcomes for children and families… Our program is stronger as a result.”

What we do
We build our partners’ capacity to solve critical issues and strengthen systems.
We achieve impact through our collaboration with partners and our capacity-building expertise. We assist our partners with collecting, analyzing, and using data for policy and program improvement; identifying, selecting, and implementing evidence-based programs; conducting needs and readiness assessments; developing logic models and theories of change; reviewing, revising, and establishing policies and procedures; and much more.
We also use a range of communication and dissemination strategies to help federal partners, state and local administrators, educators, and community partners use data and evidence to change practice and improve outcomes for students, children, and families. For example, we:
- Advance research results for practical application
- Deepen critical connections across established networks
- Plan, organize, and deliver presentations and panels at international, national, and regional conferences
- Facilitate and foster learning communities and communities of practice
- Design and deliver targeted professional development, online trainings, and webinars
- Produce technical reports, frameworks, toolkits, briefs, and articles
- Develop websites, blogs, videos, and other web-based resources
- Create interactive data dashboards and tables
