Anomaly Detection and Diagnosis for Automatic Radio Network Verification
This paper focuses on the verification problem, proposing a novel framework that uses anomaly detection and diagnosis techniques that operate within a specified spatial scope.

Reduced Cerebral and Cardiovascular Hemodynamics During Sustained Affective Stimulation in Young Women with Chronic Low Blood Pressure
We assessed central and peripheral hemodynamic changes in 15 undergraduate women with chronic hypotension and 15 normotensive controls during sustained exposure to pleasant, unpleasant and neutral pictures.

Activation of alpha2-Adrenergic Receptor by (R,R’)-4′-Methoxy-1-Naphthylfenoterol Inhibits Proliferation and Motility of Melanoma Cells
Taken together, these results identified β2-AR as a novel potential target for melanoma management, and (R,R')-MNF as an efficient trigger of anti-tumorigenic cAMP/PKA-dependent signaling in β2-AR-expressing lesions.

Lack of Associations of CHRNA5-A3-B4 Genetic Variants with Smoking Cessation Treatment Outcomes in Caucasian Smokers Despite Associations with Baseline Smoking
We observed no significant associations between CHRNA5-A3-B4 variants and smoking cessation, despite replicating previous associations with baseline tobacco consumption.

Evaluation of the California Community College Linked Learning Initiative: Second Year Report
SRI’s evaluation of the California Community College Linked Learning Initiative addressed implementation issues and institutional and student outcomes work to use the Linked Learning approach to improve college transitions and…

Towards community-centered support for peer-to-peer service exchange: rethinking the timebanking metaphor
We conducted a field study of the most prominent of these, timebanking; a system in which 'time dollars' are earned and spent by people providing services for and receiving them…

Simulation, Design, Fabrication, and Testing of a Mems Resettable Circuit Breaker
We describe a novel concept for a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) resettable circuit breaker. The concept involves fabricating the circuit breaker and the reset switch using a single microcantilever.

School health services for children with special health care needs in California
This study attempted to determine how schools meet the direct service health needs of children and who provides those services.

High-resolution, high-frequency wavelength shift detection of optical signals with low-cost, compact readouts
In this paper, its calibration and noise performance is demonstrated for high-resolution (up to 1.45 fm/vHz) acoustic emission (AE) detection of fast (up to 1 MHz) dynamic strain signals.

Advances in deep neural network approaches to speaker recognition
In this work, we report the same achievement in DNN-based SID performance on microphone speech. We consider two approaches to DNN-based SID: one that uses the DNN to extract features,…

Using Technology and Evidence to Promote Cultures of Educational Innovation: The Example of Science and Mathematics Education
To increase the opportunities for students to learn the knowledge and skills that are valued in the 21st century, education must become more innovative.

Improved speaker recognition using DCT coefficients as features
We recently proposed the use of coefficients extracted from the 2D discrete cosine transform (DCT) of log Mel filter bank energies to improve speaker recognition over the traditional Mel frequency…
