Folate and Vitamin B12 May Play a Critical Role in Lowering the HPV 16 Methylation-Associated Risk of Developing Higher Grades of CIN
The purpose of the current study was to replicate our previous findings and to evaluate the influence of plasma concentrations of folate and vitamin B12 on the degree of HPV…

miRNA and Autophagy in the Pharmacological Gaucher Mouse Model
This study investigates early stage pathogenetic targets that contribute to degeneration in Gaucher disease, Parkinson’s disease (PD) and Gaucher-related PD.

USP8 Regulates Mitophagy by Removing K6-Linked Ubiquitin Conjugates from Parkin
We report here that USP8/UBPY, a deubiquitinating enzyme not previously implicated in mitochondrial quality control, is critical for parkin-mediated mitophagy.

Modification of the Loss Cone for Energetic Particles
The optimal pitch angle which maximizes the penetration distance, along the magnetic field, of relativistic charged particles injected from the midplane of an axisymmetric field is investigated analytically and numerically.

Radar Detectability Studies of Slow and Small Zodiacal Dust Cloud Particles. I. The Case of Arecibo 430 MHz Meteor Head Echo Observations
In this paper, we present a new methodology utilizing meteor head echo radar observations that aims to constrain the ZDC physical model by ground-based measurements.

The α7 nicotinic receptor agonist ABT-107 decreases L-Dopa-induced dyskinesias in parkinsonian monkeys
Since rodent studies also suggested an involvement of α7 nAChRs in LIDs, we tested the effect of the potent, selective α7 agonist ABT-107 [5-(6-[(3R)-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yloxy] pyridazin-3-yl)-1H-indole].

Blockade of α6* nAChR Reduces L-Dopa-Induced Dyskinesias; Studies Using Parkinsonian α6* nAChR Gain-of-Function Mice
To understand the mechanism through which α6β2* nAChRs regulate L-dopa-induced AIMs, we used gain-of-function α6* nAChR (α6L9’S) mice. This mutation results in enhanced sensitivity to nicotine/acetylcholine and prolonged receptor-mediated activity.
